Optegra UK provides services to NHS patients (with cataract surgery as well as age related macular generation treatment/injections) and private patients for refractive laser or lens exchange treatment.
Optegra altered its strategy mid 2020 to support the NHS by delivering standardized, high volume and high quality surgical procedures. In order to allow the standardization across the then 7 hospitals the business had to transform from a decentralized organization to a centralized organization. Early 2021, Optegra secured additional growth funding / investment to expand the geographical footprint from 7 hospitals to 8 in 2021, from 8 to 10 in 2022, from 10 to 12 in 2023 and more recently in 2024 to 18 prestigious private eye hospitals.
