In this online discussion between myself, Stephen Cutler and ICU sister McCready, we will look at Human Factors. What they are and how they relate to our day to day life and how it is they impact on patient care. We will focus on utilising human factors to improve the care we give to our patients and also how we care for ourselves. We will focus on stress and how it impacts on our ability to care.  We will look to understand how we can breakdown the meaning of teamwork and leadership and by doing so what impact this can have on direct patient care. We will then look at tools in which can be used to create a safer environment to work in.
