Sarah Frost

Sarah Frost has held a number of Senior Nursing posts, both in acute NHS hospitals and private healthcare organisations. With a background in Cancer nursing, Sarah has worked across a number of specialties and in a range of roles from Clinical Nurse Specialist to Chief Nursing Officer through to Director. Beginning her career with HCA Healthcare as Head of Clinical Services for Sarah Cannon Research Institute 3 years ago, Sarah has since progressed in her career; firstly as Chief Nursing Officer for our Lister Hospital before progressing to a new role as Director of Clinical Services. Sarah has a master’s degrees in Leadership and Service Improvement in Healthcare.

Applying for jobs - supporting statements & CVs

A CV can sometimes feel like just a list of generic things you have done, but written correctly it can be a powerful tool to grab the attention of potential employers and outshine rival candidates.   


We will offer tips on the importance of tailoring your CV, share some common pitfalls and explore some hints on how to make your CV stand out. We will also discuss supporting statements when applying for jobs and having the best chance of getting through to the next stage.

Paediatric Preceptorship Programme for Newly Qualified Nurses

The aim of the presentation is to the discuss the support offered to  Newly qualified paediatric nurses  at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (Cross-Site)  whilst they make the transition from student to qualified nurses. The programme of support runs for 12-months providing  reflective practices, study days and learning modules while being supported by a dedicated Paediatric Education Team. It involves a comprehensive induction into the Trust including mandatory training in preparation for the new role using a clear and structured development programme and an opportunity to experience a range of specialist areas with allocated period of supernumerary time. During this programme, the newly qualified nurses will be provided with support and development from allocated preceptors and, pastoral and clinical support from the clinical educators. There will be an option to join a rotational or non-rotational programme depending on the individual’s interests. Once the rotation was completed, the new nurses will have the opportunity to stay in the area they enjoyed the most and gained more experience from.  The Paediatric Education Team will offer 11 learning modules, a variety of in-house courses, development programmes as well as opportunities to complete a variety of courses at our partner universities.

Going Global : international SOS, a career in medical assistance

Olivia is a speaker at Nursing Careers & Jobs Fair
Olivia Wilson

Olivia Wilson is the Nurse Manager – International Operations at International SOS London.   She graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000 and began her clinical career in Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Thoracics, Renal and Endocrinology, Oncology and Pain management units before specialising in Intensive Care nursing in both Australia and the United Kingdom.   
Since joining International SOS 8 years ago, Olivia has held progressively more senior roles in the medical assistance environment.   In her current role she is an expert case manager for a wide range of corporate clients and is responsible for the management of a team of nurses who work on the International Operations platform.
